How Amazon Fire TV Stick Users Can Unlock 120,000 Movies and Shows—Legally

Amazon Fire TV sticks are 40% off during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, but to connect and use one, you probably think it’ll cost a lot more in the streaming subscriptions you need to watch things on it, right?

Wrong.

While there are some… less-than-legal ways to access content on a Fire TV stick (or other similar streaming devices), there are also some completely free, completely legal ways to do it, too.

Enter the AVOD (advertising-based video on demand) streaming service. The term may be new to you, but you’ve definitely heard of some of the services that fall under this category.

Sling Freestream:

You might be thinking, wait, doesn’t Sling cost money? And the answer is, technically, yes. But Sling Freestream? That’s 100% free — it’s right there in the name!

Nestled inside the free Sling TV app is Freestream, a free ad-supported streaming service that launched last year. It offers over 500 live channels that stream everything you could think of — live news, hit shows, comedy classics… it’s all there on Freestream.

In addition to the live channels, there’s also an on-demand library of over 40,000 shows and movies.

Freestream is completely free, but we do recommend making a free account to keep track of your progress as you stream series, save movies to your watchlist, and more.

SLING FREESTREAM

In addition to Freestream, the Tubi, Pluto, Roku Channel, and Freevee apps are full of (similar) live channels and on-demand TV and movie content.
