Conjoined Twins Abby and Brittany Hensel React To Overwhelming Media Attention After Marriage News: “The Internet Is Extra LOUD Today”

Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel made headlines this week after news of the former’s 2021 marriage hit the web. However, according to the sisters, they “have always been around.”

On Thursday (March 28), the Hensels posted a TikTok featuring sculptures of conjoined twins, calling out the sudden attention they have received in the following caption, per E! News: “The internet is extra LOUD today. We have always been around ❤️”

The TikTok has since been followed by two others, one of which gradually zoomed in on a photo from their wedding day alongside Abby’s husband, Josh Bowling, with the following audio laid over it: “This is a message to all the haters out there. If you don’t like what I do, but you watch everything I’m doing, you’re still a fan.”

According to Us Weekly, Abby also became a stepmother to Bowling’s daughter Isabella, who is eight years old. After graduating from Bethel University and securing their first job as teachers — which fans witnessed in their 2012 reality series Abby & Brittany — both sisters are still teaching in Minnesota. Their story remains an inspiring one, as they highlight in the theme montage for Abby & Brittany.

“While life as a conjoined twin sometimes has its challenges, we were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted, so we do!” they share.

As reported by E! News, they are no stranger to the spotlight, as they first appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996 at just six years old, and have since shared their story in other various documentaries and specials, such as Joined for Life: Abby and Brittany Turn 16.
