Jon Stewart is not holding back now that he’s returned to The Daily Show on Comedy Central.

During this week’s episode, Stewart revealed to Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan that Apple asked him not to host her on his Apple TV+ series, The Problem With Jon Stewart.

“I wanted to have you on a podcast and Apple asked us not to do it,” he told Khan, referring to the show’s accompanying podcast. “They literally said, ‘Please don’t talk to her.’”

He also noted that the streamer “wouldn’t let us do even that dumb thing we just did in the first act on AI,” referring to a segment from earlier that evening in which Stewart criticized artificial intelligence.

“Like, what is that sensitivity? Why are they so afraid to even have these conversations out in the public sphere?” he asked Khan, who has proven to be an outspoken critic of the company.

“I think it just shows the danger of what happens when you concentrate so much power and so much decision making in a small number of companies,” she replied.

Khan visited The Daily Show to discuss the lawsuit the Justice Department and over a dozen state attorney generals filed against Apple, accusing the company of monopolizing the smart phone market.

Stewart has not-so-subtly criticized Apple TV+ since the streamer canceled his series after just two seasons over “creative differences.”

Ahead of his return to The Daily Show, Stewart said that the streamer blocked him from fully speaking his mind ahead of the upcoming election.

“I very much wanted to have some place to unload thoughts as we get into this election season, and I thought I was going to do it over at, they call it Apple TV+. It’s a television enclave, very small. It’s like living in Malibu. But they decided that they felt that they didn’t want me to say things that might get me in trouble,” Stewart said on CBS Mornings.

The Daily Show airs on weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
