Anya Taylor-Joy Screams With Joy After ‘RHOSLC’ Star Lisa Barlow Surprises Her With A Message On ‘Today’: “I’m Not Okay”

Anya Taylor-Joy‘s recent appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna gave us the crossover we didn’t even know we needed.

The Furiosa star stopped by to promote her new feature when Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager surprised her with a special message from one of her favorite television stars: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa Barlow.

After Kotb said that she and Bush Hager were “surprised” to hear that Taylor-Joy is “obsessed” with reality television, the Queen’s Gambit actress explained, “Here’s the sitch: Salt Lake City, exclusively. This is the situation, I never understood reality TV, I wanted to, and a lot of people find a lot of comfort in it… So someone showed me the season finale and I was like, I need to know, I need to know what possessed all of these people to behave in this way.”

She added that she has since started the Bravo series from the very beginning. “Cannot wait for the next season, I’m so in!” she said.

The Today hosts then surprised her with a quick message from Barlow.

“I heard that you love our show and you know that we love you so much too, thanks so much for watching baby gorgeous!” Barlow said in the video message.

The surprise left Taylor-Joy screaming with joy. “Shut up!” she said.

“Is ‘baby gorgeous’ a thing in the show?” Bush Hager asked. “Are you okay?”

“No, I’m not okay. Oh, my team back there is gonna lose…,” she began saying.

Bush Hager then asked if Barlow is her “favorite character” on RHOSLC.

“I can’t pick,” Taylor-Joy replied. She then turned back to the camera and added to Barlow, “Get back to filming!” The actress could barely recover after that as Kotb and Bush Hager began wrapping up the interview.

“I’m sorry, you’ve got me completely blushing,” she confessed.

Today with Hoda & Jenna airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
