Gayle King Presses Lenny Kravitz About His Dating Life In Hilarious ‘CBS Mornings’ Moment: “Do You Have A Significant Other In Your Life? And Can I Beat Her A**?”

Gayle King is invested in Lenny Kravitz‘s love life, and fortunately for fans, she got some answers.

The CBS Mornings co-host sat down with Kravitz in light of his new album, Blue Electric Light, which dropped on Friday. Of course, King couldn’t resist asking what we all were wondering.

“Do you have a significant other in your life? And can I beat her ass if she is?” she quipped. “Oops, did I say that out loud?”

Amid laughter, Kravitz uttered, “Wow.”

King clarified, “And I’m non-violent, Lenny Kravitz!”

Their chat got back on a more serious note, as she proceeded to ask whether he has “a partner” or “love in [his] life.” Kravitz replied, “Right now, I’m just open.”

King pressed, “Are you even looking?”

The TK421 singer conceded that “it’s hard not to look.”

“You know, when you desire something, you’re looking for it, right?” he added. “But I find that when you don’t look is when you find it.”

He continued, “And, I’m at a place where, I’ve said this for several years, ‘I’m ready. I’m ready. I’m ready.’ I wasn’t ready. I thought I was ready, right?”

As for if he’s ready now, Kravitz acknowledged, “But I can say now that I’ve never felt how I feel now.”

While King and the rest of us may be smitten by Kravitz, he admitted elsewhere in the interview that while he does live his life authentically, he still has his “moments” of feeling insecure.

“People look at you and think, ‘Oh, he’s completely got it going on. And he’s confident in everything he does,” he shared. “To some degree, yes. But then we all have our insecurities.”
