We we’re all born naked, but some people are just more comfortable staying that way. Jenna Bush Hager counts herself as one of those people. This morning on Today with Hoda & Jenna, the two hosts commented on the recent interview between Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm in which Hamm and Wiig recalled having to do a quick costume change in front of one another when Hamm was hosting Saturday Night Live, and getting naked in the process.
“One time I was hosting,” Hamm said, per Variety, “and we both had quick changes next to each other. And you’re like, ‘Get ready,’ and then we’re both naked. They’re literally tearing clothes off of you. You just have to go with it. [You see] all of the parts.”
Kotb began to say, “The quick change in front of someone, especially someone hot like Jon Hamm – ” before Bush Hager added, “That’d be hard.”
The women discussed having to do quick changes themselves while getting in and out of wardrobe, and though neither one of them said they ever had to change in front of a “hot man,” Kotb told Bush Hager, “What’s great about you is, as we have known over the years, you are you, and you don’t care. Some people are much more conservative.”
Bush Hager replied, “I think I was a little bit of an exhibitionist as a child. Actually, my first year at Camp Longhorn, which I have to bring up every couple of weeks just to feel centered, I got locked out of the cabin naked in front of the boys. My first year, I didn’t have that many friends.”
Kotb asked, “But they locked you out?” to which her co-host replied, “They locked me out naked.”
When Kotb wondered, “What did you do?” Bush Hager told her, “I think I was probably just like, ‘Hey, boys!’ I sort of feel like, take it or leave it, you know?”
While Bush Hager admitted to being free with her body, she did say it’s weird to change in the gym around work colleagues, which Kotb also agreed with.
“It feels totally weird,” she admitted.
