Ryan Seacrest made his way into Live with Kelly and Mark‘s host chat, as Kelly Ripa reminisced on some of her former co-host’s antics.
She was reminded of Seacrest after Mark Consuelos brought up the fad of sweet and spicy treats, referred to as “swicy.” In order to try out the tasty trend, Consuelos pulled out a slice of pizza and a bottle of Mike’s Hot Honey to drizzle on top.
“Have you tried this before?” he asked Ripa, who confirmed that she “drizzle[s] this on everything that [he] like[s].”
Consuelos opted to drizzle “a little bit” to test out if he likes the trend, which Ripa noted, “You do. You like this trend.”
“I do love pizza in the morning. Nothing better,” he gushed. “And this is almost cold.”
After taking a bite, Consuelos declared that “it’s pretty great.”
“It’s not that spicy, it’s more sweet… No, now here comes the spice. Yeah, here it comes,” he shared.
After Ripa noted that the heat “comes in waves,” she teased, “I wish Ryan Seacrest was here for this item. I really do.”
Consuelos asked if the incoming Wheel of Fortune host “wouldn’t eat it,”questioning if he refused to break his intermittent fast.
“He wouldn’t break his fast for anything, but he would try to fake us out. He’s like, ‘And we’ll be back after the commercial break,'” Ripa recalled, as she grabbed the slice of pizza, gazing toward the camera and pretending to eat it.
“And so then one day, I was like, ‘Hold the camera as long as you can,’ and so it was like this. He was like, ‘We’ll be right back,'” she continued, holding the slice near her mouth and nearly taking a bite for a prolonged period of time, as her face transitioned from feigned excitement to worry.
Consuelos then proposed that they “should call Ryan one morning.”
“I miss Ryan. We should call Ryan one morning, if he’s on the West Coast,” he added.
Last week, a “Stump Mark” contestant revealed to Ripa and Consuelos that her water broke while watching Live in 2018, and that they “could blame Ryan Seacrest because it was right when he had finished saying the date, and [she] was sitting in a puddle.”
Ripa quipped, “Yes, whenever he does that.’
