The View launched into another advice segment this morning that had the co-hosts howling. Today’s was a bit juicier than past Hot Topics debates as the ladies gave their take on a woman who turned down her brother’s invitation to his nude wedding and is now facing his disappointment with her decision.
Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the chat and swiftly cut to Joy Behar as she cheekily said, “Now, Joy is the only person who can really speak to something like this.”
Behar — who notably met her now-husband at a semi-nude colony — immediately said she would also refuse to attend a nude wedding.
“Look, I have my dermatologist put on a mask when he does it, so even he’s never seen me naked,” she exclaimed. “No one sees me naked. I met my husband at a semi-nudist colony and he hasn’t seen me naked since! I’m not going to go to a wedding naked. Nobody sees me naked.”
When it was Alyssa Farah Griffin‘s chance to chime in, she wondered if the wedding would be photographed, arguing, “Nobody wants photos circulating of them naked,” before asking if guests would be eating or dancing in the nude at the ceremony.
“That could be unflattering,” she remarked. “And are we sitting? You don’t want to be sitting naked.”
All her questions got Behar thinking. She quipped, “How about cutting the cake? That could be a disaster. Talk about a circumcision!”
Sunny Hostin offered her own caveat for the event, proposing a “nudist-optional” wedding. “I would go, you know, but dressed,” she suggested. Behar, being the expert she is, advised her co-host, “Then the naked people would feel uncomfortable.”
As the conversation went on, the panel only seemed to confuse themselves more, coming up with one question after another about the logistics of the event.
“Where do they keep the ring, for example?” Behar wondered, before answering her own question: “In the rolls of fat on me.” Meanwhile, Goldberg had the creative suggestion of storing the ring “on the nipple,” while Behar proposed storing it away “underneath your boob.”
We have to applaud the creativity!
