Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are no longer Golden husband and wife.

The Golden Bachelor couple reached a divorce settlement in Pike Circuit Court in Indiana, per court documents dated June 4 that were secured by Entertainment Tonight. The outlet reports that following their Jan. 4 Golden Wedding, according to the docs, the two “lived together as husband and wife until April 12, 2024, at which time certain irreconcilable differences heretofore arisen between the parties culminated in their separation.”

Turner filed for divorce on April 12, and filed a change of address a couple days after, per TMZ. According to the outlet, he and Nist had a prenup.

As noted by ET, Turner and Nist broke the news of their separation on Good Morning America in an April 12 interview, where they addressed this decision was prompted by their living situations — Turner residing in Indiana and Nist in New Jersey — and their respective close relationships with their families.

“The thing that strikes me the most in our conversations, it’s been how dedicated both of us are to our families,” he explained at the time. “So we look at these situations and I think we just feel like it’s best for the happiness of each of us to, to live apart.”

Turner insisted that he was “still in love” with Nist, and “root[s] for her every day.”

Last month, Turner congratulated Golden Bachelor contestant Joan Vassos, who was named the first-ever Golden Bachelorette.

“You will be phenomenal as the new representative of a generation,” he wrote to Vassos in an Instagram post. “From one Golden to another…relax, breathe, and enjoy.”
