Donald Trump took a jab at HBO host Bill Maher on Saturday, calling him ” highly overrated” and saying that his late-night talk show is dead.

“Bill Maher, the highly overrated ‘Star’ of the ratings challenged show with the Fake, Loud and Obnoxious laughter pouring out of your set every few seconds, even when nothing was said that was funny (which is most of the time!), suffers from a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” said Trump in a post on Truth Social.

Trump’s commentary comes just hours after former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) and former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) joined Maher on Real Time to discuss the former president’s criminal charges and warned about a Trump second term.

Cuomo and Maher shared the same belief that Trump’s hush money case in New York should have never gone forward as it politicized the justice system and helped Trump’s campaign in the end.

Maher, however, feels that Trump should have been tried in a different case.

“If they had just heard the one about trying to overthrow the government of the United States. That’s the main thing! He tried to overthrow the government of the United States! And we’re never going to hear that,” Maher said Friday evening.

“And good for you,” Cuomo said, gesturing towards Kinzinger, “for January 6.”

Kinzinger sat on the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th attack on the United States Capitol during his last term in Congress.

After Friday night’s episode, Trump recommends that fellow Republicans steer clear of Maher and his show.

“Republicans should stop using him as a reference point, his show is dead!” Trump wrote.

In March, Maher vowed to do everything he could to prevent Trump from winning the 2024 election.

The late-night host has criticized both political parties, sharing views such as “the left has changed” and that their “ideas are stupid.” He also said earlier this month that President Biden was “going to f‑‑‑ing lose” the upcoming presidential election allowing for a Trump victory.
