‘Real Housewives Of New York City’ Reveals Latest Cast Addition: Art Curator And Model Racquel Chevremont

The Bravo family just got a little bigger today, with the network’s announcement that art curator and model Racquel Chevremont will be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for the show’s 15th season.

According to the Bravo press release, Chevremont was “born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx,” and has worked “as an art curator with more than 20 years of experience working with institutions and advising corporations, collectors and artists alike.”

In addition to her work in the art world, Chevremont worked for Elite Models after being discovered by scout Steve Landis in 1993.  Her bio states, “She has graced ad campaigns for Benetton, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Fila, L’Oréal, Nivea as well as International Elle magazine covers.”

Chevremont, who is a Black, queer woman, spoke to GLAAD about joining the show, saying, “I honestly didn’t think they would be interested in me in the end because they already had a queer woman. I wasn’t sure if they were going to want two queer women on a franchise that has historically been about married heterosexual women. I think it was a bold decision and honestly a more authentic representation of NYC.”

Jenna Lyons, who joined the show in 2023, was the first openly queer housewife to appear on the long-running Bravo series.

“My entire adult life has been about representation and using whatever platform I have to get the voices of queer folks of the diaspora out there. What better way to do so if not as a member of this iconic franchise,” Chevremont added.

Chevremont said that she is not a fan of Bravo shows and had never watched RHONY prior to being cast. However, she has been involved in TV and film production before, and was notably the behind-the-scenes art curator responsible for assembling Lisa Todd Wexley’s art collection on And Just Like That.

Chevremont joins the previously announced returning housewives Sai De Silva, Lyons, Brynn Whitfield, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank and newcomer Rebecca Minkoff. A premiere date for the upcoming season has not yet been announced.
