Where’s Kelly Ripa This Week? ‘Live’ Co-Host’s Absence Stretches Into Week Two

As Live with Kelly and Mark fans likely already know, Kelly Ripa was absent from this morning’s installment once again.

While the recently inducted Disney legend was missing from her and Mark Consuelos‘ eponymous morning show all of last week, she didn’t make her anticipated return on Monday morning’s episode. Instead, Maria Menounos — who stepped in for Ripa last Thursday (Aug. 8) — was back at the co-host desk with Consuelos on today’s episode, which was previously recorded.

Andra Day sat down with Consuelos and Menounos to discuss the new horror film The Deliverance, which hits Netflix on Friday, Aug. 30.

Where is Kelly Ripa?

Ripa was honored as a Disney Legend on Sunday (Aug. 11), alongside fellow recipients Angela Bassett, James Cameron, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Williams and more. The ceremony took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Ryan Seacrest presented Ripa with the honor, which feels only fitting, as he co-hosted Live with Kelly and Ryan with her for six years before Consuelos took over in April 2023.

When will Kelly Ripa return to Live with Kelly and Mark?

A production source informed DECIDER that the Live family is on their annual summer vacation. The upcoming shows feature fresh and fun never before seen content along with some of the best celeb interviews.

Tuesday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark is slated to feature interviews with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Hannah Waddingham.
