Two down, two to go! The View has been dark for two weeks now, halfway through its annual summer hiatus.

And if you’re like us, you are very much missing Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin. EP Brian Teta too, of course — we’re loyal fans over here.

The ladies of The View will be off air for the rest of August as they rest and gear up for the premiere of Season 28, which will take place from the show’s new studio in Downtown Manhattan.

In place of the live show, ABC has been playing reruns from Season 27 highlights, so viewers can catch up on anything they missed before the new season sets off.

So, why is The View off the air today? When will it be back live?

Here’s everything you need to know — keep reading for more information.
