For just the second time in its 100+ year history, the Copa America international soccer tournament will be held outside of South America.

The quadrennial competition initially determined a South American champion, but beginning in the ’90s, teams from North America and Asia have been invited to compete if they qualify. This year’s tourney is on North American soil, too — fourteen US cities will serve as hosts (in a precursor to the 2026 World Cup).

Though there’s a lot to be excited about, there’s been much buzz about Argentinian captain (and one of the best players in the world) Lionel Messi as he returns to the international stage with Argentina defending their title. There’s a chance this may be the last tournament he plays in for Argentina’s National Team, too.

Team USA begins their Copa America slate on Sunday, June 23, in a match against Bolivia, before facing Panama on June 27 and Uruguay on July 1.

The tournament is particularly easy to watch this year with all matches being split between three channels. Live TV streaming services like Sling TV, fuboTV, and DIRECTV Stream are great options for streaming Copa America.

When is the Copa America 2024?

What Channel Are Copa America Games On?

Copa America matches will air on FOX, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), and Fox Sports 2 (FS2).

How to Watch Copa America Games for Free:

While there isn’t a free trial for streaming services long enough to cover the entire tournament for free, there are a few options that offer free trials to watch the first few days of the Copa America.

fuboTV’s base plan includes FOX, FS1, and FS2. After a seven-day free trial, the service costs $79.99/month and includes unlimited cloud DVR and over 190 live channels.

Hulu + Live TV offers a three-day free trial before $76.99/month payments start. FOX, FS1, and FS2 are among the 95+ live channels included in Hulu + Live TV’s base plan along with Disney+ and ESPN+.

FOX and FS1 are included with DIRECTV Stream’s base Entertainment plan, which costs $79.99/month after a five-day free trial. However, if you want to stream games on FS2, you’ll have to subscribe to the Ultimate plan for $109.99/month after a five-day free trial.

Other Ways to Watch Copa America Games Without Cable:

Though it doesn’t offer a free trial, Sling TV might be the most cost-effective way to stream the Copa America in full.

Sling TV’s Blue plan includes both FOX and FS1 and the streamer is currently offering half off your first month. Instead of paying $45, you’ll pay just $22.50. To get FS2, you’ll have to sign up for Blue + Sports Extra, which includes an $11/month sports add-on.

Even with Sports Extra, it comes to $33.50 — much cheaper than one month of the services that offer free trials, even if you won’t get a free trial with Sling.
