After a world premiere at Sundance Film Festival in early 2022, Am I OK? finally drops for a wider general audience with Max in early June. The comedy-drama film revolves around Lucy (Dakota Johnson), a 32-year-old woman living in Los Angeles who only recent realizes that she is a lesbian after repeatedly struggling to romantically connect with men. With her longtime best friend Jane (Sonoya Mizuno) about to move to London, their friendship is thrown into additional chaos as Jane attempts to help Lucy navigate coming out and dating women for the first time while in her 30s.

The Penguin (Released 2024 TBA) *Max Original

Set one week after the events of 2022 superhero film The Batman, this highly-anticipated Max Original crime drama miniseries revolves around crime lord Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot’s (Colin Farrell) rise to power as both himself and supervillain The Penguin within Gotham City’s criminal underworld. Following the death of high-powered mob boss Carmine Falcone at the hands of the Riddler, Oz makes a play to seize the reigns and fill the power vacuum by whatever means necessary, even if it means taking on Falcone’s daughter (Cristin Milioti) and son (Michael Zegen).
