Recycle, Compost, Trash: Collection Schedules and Reminders

Your Large Item Pickup week of service may be changing beginning July 2024! Check the map to see your week of service.

Note: Large Item Pickup remains on your regular collection day.

Holidays

Service will be delayed one day following the holidays listed below:

2024

  • New Year's Day: Monday, January 1
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, January 15
  • Presidents' Day: Monday, February 19
  • César Chávez Day (Observed): Monday, March 25
  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 27
  • Juneteenth: Wednesday, June 19
  • Independence Day: Thursday, July 4
  • Labor Day: Monday, September 2
  • Veterans Day: Monday, November 11
  • Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 28
  • Christmas Day: Wednesday, December 25

 

When service falls on or after a holiday, your collection will be delayed one day for the rest of that week only. There will be no delays for city holidays that do not impact collection schedules.

For example, for a Monday holiday, collections will be on Tuesday, Tuesday's collection on Wednesday, etc., with Thursday's collections on Friday for that week only.

Missed Pickups

Due to the observance of the Memorial Day holiday, May 27th, your Solid Waste service collections will be delayed one-day.  Please visit denvergov.org/trashschedule for collection reminders. For additional information or to make service requests, chat with Sunny, located on the lower right corner of the Denvergov.org webpage or text “HEY311” or “Hello” to Sunny at 439311.  Thank You and Have a Safe Holiday!

  • HOLIDAY WEEKS: During holiday weeks, the collection schedule is delayed by one day following the holiday. 
  • BLOCKED OR IMPROPER SET OUT: Sometimes trash or recycling can’t be collected because containers are blocked or were set out incorrectly. Check the cart service guidelines to make sure your containers were set out correctly.
