Bosch Tech Day 2024: The age of software-defined mobility starts here! In the automotive industry, the new trend has a name: software-defined vehicle. Software is increasingly becoming the starting point for designing and developing new vehicle models. A recent McKinsey study estimates that the global market for automotive software and electronics will reach 462 billion dollars by 2030. For Bosch, that’s good news, because we can do both: hardware and software. We are one of the few companies that are fully proficient in the interplay of automotive electronics and the cloud. Last week our Kista office in Sweden had the honor of hosting Dr. Joachim Bertele, the German Ambassador. He was accompanied by two additional embassy representatives. The visit began with a warm welcome from our team, followed by a guided tour of our Car Service facilities, giving the ambassador a closer look at the technologies we employ in our workshop training programs. Representatives from different business areas had the opportunity to engage directly with the ambassador. They described their work and discussed how things are progressing in Sweden. This was followed by an in-depth discussion on industry-related political topics such as skilled labor, the euro and sustainability. The meeting concluded with mutual expressions of gratitude and an agreement to further explore the opportunity to meet up regularly. It was wonderful to have all of you here!
