Midge Maisel was a charming housewife in New York City in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Her perfect life changed drastically when her husband, Joel, left her. In a moment of crisis, Midge discovered her talent for stand-up comedy after performing at a local club. Then Midge built a career while balancing her family and societal expectations. We can call her the first female stand-up performer. Here are some of her famous quotes: 👩🎤 “You know what’s great about me? It’s when I’m me." 👩🎤 "Why do women have to pretend to be something they’re not? Why do we have to pretend to be delicate?" 👩🎤 "I’m not afraid of change. And one more amazing heroine who was creative and brave enough to change her life and find a new self: “Emily in Paris”! An American woman from Chicago who unexpectedly landed her dream job in marketing in Paris. She faced numerous challenges, including cultural clashes, language barriers, and scepticism from her French colleagues, particularly her boss. Despite these obstacles, Emily's creativity and social media savvy helped her navigate her new life and work environment. She also made new friends and found a boyfriend. Not just one! Emily’s unforgettable quotes: 👩🎤 "I'm not somebody who can share a crepe. I need the whole crepe." 👩🎤 "You need to decide if you want to be on the island or if you want to be a part of the ocean." 👩🎤 "You can’t have an omelette without breaking some eggs." Nischa Don Maak 🎗️, our energizer, shared her inspiring journey of leaving a comfortable corporate life to build a vast community of women with shared values. Her message: "Do things your way, even at work. Change the rules of the game, create little unique details which can change the whole system and will be beneficial for you." Claire Tsang, a social media strategist and a branding /graphic designer, thinks that success is about executing new ideas, bravery, resilience, and passion for things she likes and a positive mindset is very crucial: "It was a click in my head. This is not any plan B, this is what I’m going to do... My friend checked my phone at one point and found I spend 17 hours a day on my phone cos I use my phone for all my social media work…” Then there's Olena Arseniuk, who moved from Ukraine with her son after the war began. Despite the hardships, she remained strong by staying true to herself: "Never lose yourself! Listen to your soul and find your passion. It is crucial to know what you like and what you want to do. Passion is energy. Your work will be a big part of your life. And the only way to be satisfied is to work with what you believe in... Follow your passion!"
