On 1 August, the EU AI Act came into force, marking the first framework for regulating AI systems within the EU. The AI Act serves as a blueprint for innovation balanced with responsibility, ensuring that the promise of artificial intelligence enhances society while safeguarding our values. Lena Ernlund Malmberg highlights this balance, stating: “By setting clear standards, it paves the way for AI to thrive, unlocking new possibilities while ensuring ethical and responsible growth. With the AI Act, we can lead the future of technology and build a trusted ecosystem that benefits everyone. It is an opportunity for businesses to innovate with confidence.” Most major provisions of the Act will not be enforced until 2026, giving companies time to have compliance plans in place. Here, we have gathered everything you need to know, including eight steps that your organisation can take to prepare: https://lnkd.in/dSW8-iQi
