Could Sluseholmen School be School Building of the Year 2024 in Denmark?   The school was designed by JJW ARKITEKTER and despite the typical challenges faced by urban schools, its structure is conceived as part of a larger landscape, where the building itself provides green spaces for both play and learning. From the road, the school terraces down towards the entrance, with each floor differentiating both year groups and activities.    All ceilings are clad in Troldtekt natural wood in a brand-new profile system with visible longitudinal profiles developed for the school. Will Stensager School in Aarhus win the title of School Building of the Year 2024 in Denmark? You can help decide right now, as the completely renovated school is among the nominated schools with Troldtekt acoustic solutions🧡 Stensager School, formerly a run-down primary school, was designed by RUM A/S in close cooperation with several other consultants. The building has undergone extensive renovation and has been transformed into a modern special school for up to 250 pupils with special needs.   Here Troldtekt provided a ventilation ceiling without draughts and noise – and with good acoustic regulation on both ceilings and walls.   The school also features movable acoustic control screens, cloakroom systems with screens and storage boxes that support the school's structure and reduce visual noise. British TV host and architect George Clarke has fallen for The Nordic Barnhouse in the woods near Randers🫶🌳   Bruno Jakobsen’s exclusive longhouse is the first building on the visitor list in season 12 of the TV series "Amazing Spaces". Here, George Clarke travels around to visit eight architectural gems in Denmark.   Among other things, George Clarke emphasises that The Nordic Barnhouse is inspired by Viking longhouses and “captures the essence of Danish design that blends in with nature”.   Another well-deserved, delightful mention of the unique design of the place 📺👏   The extensive use of wooden materials and the large windows make the three wings blend in with the forest outside. You can now vote for School Building of the Year 2024 in Denmark. We are proud that several of the nominated projects have Troldtekt acoustic ceilings🤩 ✅ Sluseholmen School in Copenhagen, designed by JJW ARKITEKTER, brings the city, nature and water together as a whole. All ceilings are clad in Troldtekt in natural wood in a brand new profile system with visible longitudinal profiles developed for the school. Troldtekt ventilation is integrated into the ceiling and sends fresh air through the acoustic ceiling.   ✅ The new Sommerbæk Children’s House and School in Hørning is one of the nominated schools with its innovative design. The project, designed by GPP arkitekter A/S, brings together a kindergarten and school under one roof with a focus on acoustics and comfort, ensuring a good environment for both children and adults.   ✅At Dybbøl boarding school in Sønderborg, Troldtekt contributes to a good indoor climate. Here, several variants of Troldtekt ceilings are installed - including black-painted acoustic panels, which have subsequently been clad with wooden strips (customer solution). It is ZENI arkitekter a/s who are the designers behind.    ✅ SIMAC in Svendborg is the country’s leading maritime educational institution, designed by C.F. Møller Architects and EFFEKT Architects. Here, Troldtekt acoustic ceilings in natural grey are installed.   ✅ And then there is Stensagerskolen in Aarhus, which has been transformed from a degraded primary school into a modern special school for children with special needs.
