CSR report: See the highlights from Troldtekt’s 2023📗   For the 14th consecutive year, we have uploaded our CSR report as part of our commitment to the UN Global Compact. CSR report 2023: Troldtekt doubled the share of FUTURECEM™ and reduced its total carbon footprint📉   In three years (2020–2023), Troldtekt reduced its carbon footprint per square metre of acoustic panels produced by 6.9 per cent. This is shown by data from our CSR report, which has just been published.   The reduction occurred in scope 3, which mainly covers cement from Aalborg Portland. Part of the explanation is that in 2023, we doubled the share of panels containing the low-carbon cement type FUTURECEM™🙌   In our own factory (scope 1 and 2), 94.5 per cent of energy consumption in 2023 came from renewable sources: biofuel and wind power. This figure was slightly lower than in previous years due to a period of maintenance on the biomass boiler.   We're a long way from the finish line, but we've moved several big steps closer to reaching it. On August 13th, we once again had the pleasure of attending a Specifi event – this time in London.   Our Country Manager Steve Mansell was present to showcase our innovative acoustic solutions for ceilings and walls.   Many good conversations were made, and visitors were given the opportunity to get hands-on experience with our design solutions🤝✨   Thanks to the team at Specifi for another successful event. Water parks, swimming pools and wellness centres provide a framework for enhancing health and well-being through water activities. And the architecture that houses the activities must have an attractive and inspiring design and materials that can withstand a high-humidity environment. Troldtekt acoustic panels are suitable for ensuring good acoustics in swimming pools, changing rooms and wellness areas. Regulating acoustics in such environments is a must, as there are typically many loud noises and many hard surfaces to reflect the sounds. The acoustic panels are tested to withstand a moisture load of up to 98 per cent (+2/- 5 per cent) measured at a temperature of 40 degrees. This means that Troldtekt has achieved the highest level (D) of CE labelling for water resistance. Wild flowers shoot up and insects swarm around our rainwater lake 🌦️🌼🐛   We created the lake at Troldtekt’s production facility in Troldhede, and it serves several purposes. First and foremost, it collects rainwater from the roof of our large logistics facility so that it doesn't run into the sewer.   In addition, we have planted flowers and several native plant species by the lake, as well as set up an insect hotel and bird boxes. A nostalgic station with a fantastic history - with vintage train trips in the summer 🚞 ⁠ The Schafbergbahn is Austria’s steepest cog railway. The track has transported thousands of people to the top of the 1,783-metre-high Schafberg since 1893 to enjoy the fantastic view of the Salzkammergut region and surrounding mountains.   The station has a restaurant with panoramic views and a museum zone, where visitors can learn all about the intriguing history of the railway and see an original locomotive from 1893. Join the party at restaurant LULA in Aarhus marina🏄 The interior design, service and food are all about creating the right, relaxed atmosphere for guests.   More than 20 years ago, the premises housed the Aarhus Sailing Club, followed by the restaurants Frk. Koch and KP5. The Troldtekt acoustic ceilings are from the sailing club’s era and have since followed all three generations of restaurants in the building. A lot of travellers are passing through Aarhus Airport A/S this summer ➞️   There's a lovely little story hidden in the airport’s public areas. The ground floor in particular underwent major renovation a few years ago – including a new café and lounge area.   To emphasise the exclusive look, the airport’s existing acoustic ceiling from Troldtekt was painted black, complementing the design. Preserving and renovating is often less resource-intensive than building with new materials.   Troldtekt acoustic panels are robust and durable with a service life of at least 50-80 years - and can be repainted several times along the way, even in new colours, without affecting their acoustic properties.
