Om os
The evidence is clear. Our ears are windows to our health. With good hearing an essential part of living a long and healthy life. But the reality is more and more of us are experiencing hearing loss. A loss that’s affecting more than our ability to hear. It’s impacting our mental, emotional, social, and cognitive health too. In fact, the science indicates how hearing loss may increase our risk of dementia. And that maintaining good hearing could slow the progression of cognitive decline that can precede dementia. Hearing loss isn’t an inconvenience of ageing – it’s a health issue demanding action. Because if we can raise awareness, promote good hearing health, and support continued research around hearing and cognition, we can protect our most precious possession: our ability to hear, think and live. LISTEN TO THIS is a global initiative of healthcare partners, policy makers, institutions and more.
