The main card of UFC 302 sees former middleweight champion Sean Strickland taking on Paulo Costa this Saturday, June 1. The clash will serve as the co-main event of the 12-fight card taking place live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The event will air across the ESPN network, with the main card broadcast starting at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Strickland defeated Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 and captured the UFC middleweight title in a tremendous upset fashion. However, in his first title defense, Strickland would lose to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 294. The old-school style brawler has won three of his last four fights.

Costa fell short against Robert Whittaker in his last fight losing by way of unanimous decision at UFC 298. It was his first fight after a nearly two-year lay off. The knockout specialist is in search of a win, losing three of his last four fights.
