Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday in Arlington and after losing for the first time since 2012 last season, the American League looks to start a new winning streak.

National League vs. American League (-115, 7.5)

Rookie phenom of the Pittsburgh Pirates Paul Skenes gets the start for the National League and while in many games the starting pitcher is paramount to how a game will go, in this game that is greatly diminished.

With managers trying to get as many different players and teams represented in the game, most hitters will only get an at-bat or two in the game while most pitchers will throw only one inning, two innings if they are lucky and truly needed.

The National League is at a disadvantage with multiple players needing to be replaced including starting outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres and pitcher Tyler Glasnow of the Los Angeles Dodgers while Chris Sale started for the Atlanta Braves on Sunday, making him unavailable for Tuesday.

Additionally, Philadelphia Phillies starting pitchers Zack Wheeler and Ranger Suarez while Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert was the lone American League pitcher that needed to be replaced.

Of the league’s top ten leaders in home runs this season, seven are in the American League and six are available to play on Tuesday with Rafael Devers out due to shoulder soreness.

With the American League’s roster more complete and having home-field advantage with this being played in the Texas Rangers home ballpark, the American League will extend their 47-44-2 lifetime lead over the National League in the Mid-Summer Classic.

The Play: American League -115
