After not making the team in 2023, Keegan Bradley has been named the U.S. Ryder Cup captain for 2025.

Mike Golic Jr. and Mike Golic Sr. shared their thoughts on Keegan getting the nod on Tuesday’s edition of GoJo and Golic.

Initially, it was expected that Tiger Woods would serve as the Ryder Cup captain, however, Woods has a lot on his plate with the ongoing machinations revolving around the PGA TOUR-LIV Golf merger.

Keegan had previously joined GoJo and Golic last September when he was not part of the team to talk about why the event means so much to so many golfers. His answer showed how much passion Keegan has for this event, and GoJo thinks that having the captain be someone who seems to care more about the Ryder Cup than anyone is something he’s excited about.

Senior agrees and says you really want someone who is going to buy into this event and this concept. He also thinks the U.S. should have a “homefield advantage” at Bethpage Black, with a Happy Gilmore-esque environment where there is cheering on every U.S. shot. Senior is happy for Keegan, who at 38 will be the youngest captain since Arnold Palmer in 1963. Moreover, he’s happy that Keegan gets it and buys into the rivalry of the Ryder Cup and what it means to be on this team.
