To ensure Hilton La Romana continues to deliver the exceptional experiences guests have come to expect, routine maintenance and renovations are scheduled as follows: August 30 – October 5, 2024: The Spice Market Buffet and Noor à la carte restaurant at Hilton La Romana will undergo necessary roof work. During this time, the buffet will be available at an alternate location, and the Mediterranean menu will be served at a different venue, with alternating à la carte options to ensure guests enjoy all their favorite specialties. The work will be conducted only during the day, with minimal noise. September 23-28, 2024: The Water Park will be temporarily closed for routine maintenance. Fortunately, its location will minimize any noise disturbance, allowing guests to continue enjoying their stay without interruption. We are confident that mutual clients will continue to enjoy the diverse dining options, resort activities, and live entertainment that Hilton La Romana offers. When it comes to travel, not everything is on Google. According to official reports from the Ministry of Tourism and the National Statistics Centre of the Dominican Republic, the country had 674 hotels in 2004. By the end of 2023, this number had grown to 981 hotels. As shown by the experience and feedback of tourists, many travel advisors and agents do not fully understand the concepts of various resorts. For instance, they may not grasp the conceptual differences between Adults Only high-end hotels from Inclusive Collection EAME - Part of World of Hyatt and Posadas or understand the principal differences between high-end family hotels like Hyatt Ziva from Playa Hotels & Resorts and Finest Punta Cana from The Excellence Collection. "We Put People First" My personal choice of Marriott Hotels in the Dominican Republic, based on its priorities: 1. JW Marriott Santo Domingo One of my two favorite hotels in the capital. 2. The St. Regis Cap Cana A brand new hotel in Cap Cana that we've eagerly awaited, set to open its doors in January 2025. 3. The Ocean Club, a Luxury Collection Resort The best, and still the only really luxury hotel in Sosua (until Puerto Plata). Of course, there is also my all-time favourite Sanctuary Cap Cana Hotel from the Marriott Luxury Collection and the Royalton Resorts from the Autograph Collection. However, I did not include them because they also belong to Playa Hotels & Resorts and Blue Diamond chains, respectively. Throughout my career in the Hotels, Tourism, and Hospitality industries, I've made it a priority to deeply study and personally experience various hotels, especially premium and luxury ones, to grasp their hidden aspects, concepts, philosophies, and values. This knowledge has been crucial as our B2B partners, tour operators, rely on me to create hotel portfolios for them for our Caribbean destinations. One hotel chain that has captured my admiration is Marriott International, with its ethos of "We Put People First." In the grand machinery of tourism and hospitality - including airlines, hotels, resorts, tour operators, DMCs, and DMOs - our true worth lies solely in our relationship with our clients. But from what I see and hear from my many friends at Marriott, I have the feeling that by "We Put People First," Marriott means not only its guests but also its associates! This is a really great thing! Marriott has not only internalized this principle but has also set an example for others in the industry. Putting people first isn't just a slogan; it's a commitment to prioritizing the individual, recognizing that they are at the heart of everything we do. And I know about this because my father worked for 40 years at the Armenia Hotel in Yerevan, which eventually became the Armenia Marriott Hotel. My father had the privilege to work with them for 5 more years despite his old age.
