Submit a Question to Ask Wirecutter

Our goal at Wirecutter is to save readers time, stress, and money when they’re shopping. And even though we have hundreds of guides—all of them chock-full of expert advice that’s based on thousands of hours of product testing—it can still be hard to know exactly how some of these products might actually fit into your day-to-day routine.

For example, do you need to buy our top air purifier if you’ve got a modern HVAC system? You’re fully stocked on Blue Lizard for picnics and pool days at home, but what’s the best way to pack sunscreen for your next vacation? How bad is it really to use old, scratched nonstick pans, even if your family thinks it’s fine?

In our advice column, Ask Wirecutter, deputy editor Annemarie Conte helps you figure out how to make the most of your stuff in real life. She’ll consider your specific needs, including your individual circumstances, to make the best product recommendations possible. And along the way, she may even save you the stress of getting into a neighborly dispute or a long-winded debate with family.

So share your shopping conundrum with us here, and Annemarie will answer some of the trickiest questions in our column. The more specific you are—about your product needs, your maintenance concerns, and your personal situation—the better.
