Accommodation Descriptions and Procedures

Students are approved for a general list of accommodations based on the impact of their functional limitations. The actual need or use of an accommodation is determined on a course specific basis. Instructors and students should communicate with each other to identify how specific accommodations will be implemented, if needed. Instructors must consult with the DRO if they have concerns or when an approved accommodation listed in the Accommodation Letter may alter the essential requirements or educational outcomes of the course.

Students should immediately contact the DRO if an instructor refuses to provide an approved accommodation or if they feel they are not being accommodated appropriately.
