      Chevron unveiled plans to invest Rs 8,300 crore in setting up an Engineering and Innovation Centre in Karnataka. The center is poised to employ 600 engineers by 2025 to advance energy technology innovations. This development reinforces Karnataka's status as a major global center for technological and economic advancements.

      BEML and the Indian Navy's Directorate of Marine Engineering inked a deal to design, develop, and manufacture marine equipment locally. Ajit Kumar Srivastav and Rear Admiral K Srinivas signed the agreement. The partnership aims to strengthen self-reliance in defence production and cut down on foreign imports, thereby enhancing indigenous capabilities.

      The Karnataka Examinations Authority has published the KCET 2024 Round 1 mock allotment results on its website. Candidates who met the submission deadline of August 4 can view their results. They can adjust their choices or accept a seat. The final allotment results for Round 1 will be released on August 21.

      IIT Madras received a record donation of Rs. 228 Crore from alumnus Dr. Krishna Chivukula. The funds will support scholarships, research, and infrastructure including an academic block named after him. The institute raised a total of Rs. 513 Crore in 2023-24, marking a 135% increase from the previous year.
