Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly experiencing increasing tension in their relationship, with concerns about their future and public image contributing to the strain. Royal author Tom Quinn has revealed to The Mirror US that Meghan Markle is increasingly worried about her life not progressing as planned, leading to a growing rift with Prince Harry.

"There is a noticeable rift developing between Harry and Meghan driven by Meghan’s increasing apprehension that her life isn’t unfolding as planned," Quinn stated. "She thrives on media attention and is dismayed by surveys suggesting waning public interest in her and Harry."

Harry and Meghan's Challenges In California

Since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020 and relocating to Montecito, California, the couple has faced numerous challenges. Initially embraced by Hollywood, their popularity has since seen a decline. Reports suggest that their high-profile deal with Netflix may be in jeopardy, adding to the couple’s stress.

"With news that the couple’s Netflix contract may be under threat, along with the mockery that greeted the launch of her online brand," Quinn noted.

Quinn highlighted Meghan's sensitivity to criticism, particularly regarding her luxurious lifestyle. "She is especially sensitive about any criticism of her luxurious lifestyle in the US – from her point of view this is something to be admired not criticized," he added.

Meghan feels "very much under siege," believing that any action she takes is unfairly criticised. "Like her husband, she feels that people are unfairly picking on her - she cannot understand why people don’t admire her work," Quinn explained.

    Harry's Nostalgia For The UK

According to Quinn, Prince Harry is experiencing growing boredom and nostalgia for the UK, where most of his close friends from the army and school still reside. "He never sees them because they won't visit him in the States, as they find Meghan difficult," the expert mentioned.

    Meghan's Business Ventures

In March, Meghan launched her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which focuses on home decor and kitchen items. Despite high expectations, the brand has faced significant ridicule. "The launch of American Riviera Orchard left Meghan visibly upset, especially when her new products faced ridicule for their pricing and perceived lack of novelty," Quinn remarked.

American Riviera Orchard offers a range of healthy edible options, including "jellies, jams, marmalades, fruit preserves, edible oils and fats, vegetable-based spreads, legume-based spreads, nut-based spreads, garlic-based spreads, sesame-based spreads, dairy-based spreads, nut butters, and fruit butters," according to Harper's Bazaar.

The revelations come at a time when both Harry and Meghan are under considerable scrutiny over their public image and professional ventures. Their transition from royal duties to life in the United States has been marked by both significant opportunities and challenges.
