    Russian students are planning a visit to the Songdowon International Children’s camp in North Korea. This is part of an agreement signed between the two countries during the recent visit of Vladimir Putin to North Korea.

    Children from Russia are all set to visit a summer camp in neighboring North Korea. This is an agreement signed between the two countries during the recent visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Pyongyang. A Russian national who attended this summer camp in 2015 and 2016 has provided the details of this summer camp in an essay to the Business Insider. Yuri Frolov who attended the Songdowon International Children’s camp. This is where the present batch of Russian students will attend their summer camp. The camp propagated communist ideology and once such game practiced the destruction of the White House.

    Songdowon International Children’s camp:

    This is located in the Songdowon area of Wonsan in North Korea. This is where the children from Russia will be attending a summer camp. According to Yuri, there are children from countries including China and Tanzania who also attend the summer camp.

    Activities in the summer camp:

    It was noted that while the children are given an opportunity to visit the nearby beaches and play other games, there are some activities which are compulsory for them to participate in. This includes the cleaning of the area around the statues of some North Korean leaders. The mornings begin by children participating in the cleaning of the area around these statues. There were also other activities including playing a computer game which involved a simulation destroying the White House in the US.

    The children also had to attend classes which extolled the communist ideology. They were taught lessons pertaining to communism and lessons against capitalism.

    Growing relations between Russia and North Korea:

    In recent times the relations between the two countries are growing. The recent visit of Putin has added to the growing defense relations between the two countries. The two sides agreed to enhance their defense partnership. North Korea has supplied artillery shells to Russia which will be used in the Ukraine war.
