'Vizhinjam port is the dream child of UDF': Congress' Satheesan as credit war erupts over seaport

Opposition leader VD Satheesan said the Vizhinjam port is the dream child of UDF and those who had alleged Rs 6,000cr real estate scam behind the project are taking credit for it now. KPCC president K Sudhakaran, meanwhile, urged the govt to name the port after former chief minister Oommen Chandy. "Vizhinjam project is UDF's baby. When ships approach the port, people see it as a victory of Oommen Chandy's determination in executing the project despite several odds,'' said Satheesan.
