Grasim Q1 Results: Firm reports Rs 52 cr standalone loss versus Rs 355 cr yr-ago profit
Grasim experienced a Rs 52.12 crore standalone loss in the June 2024 quarter, falling from a Rs 355 crore profit a year ago. Revenue grew 11% YoY to Rs 6,894 crore, driven by its diversified businesses. However, the chemicals segment saw a revenue decrease. Grasim shares were up 1.17% to Rs 2,574.45 on NSE.
RVNL shares fall over 4% after Q1 profit declines 35% YoY
Rail Vikas Nigam's shares dropped 4.5% to Rs 514 as the company posted a 35% year-on-year decline in net profit for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024. The firm's revenue also declined by 27%, reaching Rs 4,074 crore. EBITDA fell 48% YoY, reducing profit margins.
RVNL Q1 Results: Profit falls 35% YoY to Rs 224 crore; revenue drops 27%
RVNL Q1 Results: State-owned RVNL reported a 35% drop in cons net profit to Rs 224 crore for Q1 June 2024, down from Rs 343 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations fell 27% to Rs 4,074 crore from Rs 5,572 crore year-over-year. Sequentially, net profit decreased 53% from Rs 478 crore in the March 2024 quarter, while revenue dropped 39% from Rs 6,714 crore.
Q1 results today: LIC, RVNL, GRSE, MRF among 225 companies to announce earnings on Thursday
The initial quarter earnings season began with 225 companies, including LIC, Eicher Motors, RVNL, and SAIL, reporting their financial performance. Eicher Motors was expected to achieve a significant profit range, while LIC was projected to see a notable increase in its annual premium equivalent and value of new business on a yearly basis.
