    NSDL speed-e mobile app: Who can use it, features, charges and other details

    Synopsis

    There is no need to register for the mobile application if you have already registered for SPEED-e or IDeAS. The same login credentials can be used to access the app. There are no charges for the mobile application.

    People who have a demat account with a DP of NSDL can avail the facility of NSDL speed
    e mobile application. They can access their demat holdings on their mobile phone using the application and carry out other services such as giving confirmation of e-DIS and e-voting.

    Precondition
    To be able to avail of the facility, it is necessary to have the mobile number of the sole holder/first holder or the second holder or the third holder to be registered with the demat account.

    Mobile app
    The NSDL Speed -e mobile application can be downloaded on Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Demat account holders can register for IDeAS facility through the NSDL mobile application.

    Process
    After downloading the application, one should click on the tab ‘New User Registration’ and key in the DP ID and client ID. Next, a username and password should be selected and keyed in along with an email id of the user. On submitting the request, an OTP is sent on the mobile number. On successful OTP verification, one can begin using the IDeAS facility on the mobile application.

    Points to note
    • If one is registered with SPEED-e or IDeAS facility, no separate registration is required for mobile application. The app can be accessed using the same login credentials.
    • There are no charges for the mobile application.
