🧽✨ SOL cares about the health and well-being of its employees In August our team members Tiina, Rita, Kestrin, Helen, and Ilona participated in an ergonomics seminar organized by Puhastusekspert to enhance the knowledge of occupational health and safety. 💪 The seminar covered cleaning ergonomics research and techniques that impact muscle tension. Additionally, Rein Reisberg from the Tööinspektsioon / Labour Inspectorate shared valuable insights on personal protective equipment and workplace safety. Yesterday, our team arrived in Finland to participate in the annual Sales and Service Days hosted by SOL ☀ Finland. Today is packed with insightful presentations and hands-on workshops, all focused on driving growth and sustainability. 💛 This morning kicked off with various units sharing their results, including a presentation from SOL Group’s CEO and owner, Juhapekka Joronen.💡 One of the highlights? SOL and Opinion Festival / Arvamusfestival 2024 - Where is the flexibility of working life going? 🚀 We had great pleasure to be a part of this year's Opinion Festival, where Rinel Pius, the CEO of SOL Baltics, was also able to express his opinion. Together with inspiring co-speakers - Ulla Saar, Ingrid Viinapuu, Maren Penu, Jaan-Hendrik Toomel and Ave Laas - the topic "Flexibility for both employer and employee" was discussed and touched on both practical issues, such as workload flexibility, as well as larger topics, including trust, organizational culture , freedom and responsibility. 💬 Rinel Pius: "Although we did not prepare a list of specific proposals, a clear statement was heard - flexibility is here to stay. It is a matter that is based on trust between employer and employee. Our employment contract law also needs to be updated.'' It's clear that working life is changing, and we need to adapt along with it. What unites the property maintenance company SOL Baltics and Ruukki, which is focused on building roofs? 🤝✨ At the core of both companies' leadership culture is mentorship and leadership development. For several years now, Ruukki has been running an in-house mentoring program aimed at both managers and specialists, within the framework of which the experiences of other companies are also shared. 🏗️🌟 💡 How nice that SOL management members Priit Sipelgas and Mergit Inno were also able to participate in Ruukki's mentors' day, where they talked about challenges and opportunities that managers experience today, coaching management tools that help managers on a daily basis, and about taking responsibility and initiative throughout the company. At SOL, coaching mentoring has been an integral part of our leadership culture for the past 6 years, providing continuous development and support to our leaders. 📈 Thus, both Priit and Mergit received a number of interesting questions, which led to lively discussions and provided food for thought for a long time to come. 💬 We thank our development partner Fontes Talent Advisory, who has trained our managers over the years, and special thanks to Ruukki Business Unit Director Kristjan Keert, who invited us to visit.
