🌱🇱🇻 By 2030, renewable energy is set to power half of Latvia's total energy consumption. With significant potential in solar, wind, and hydropower, Latvia is becoming a key player in the transition to sustainable energy. Sunly is investing in and continuing to develop wind and solar energy production, as well as battery energy storage systems, recognizing the significant potential in the Latvian market. Our immediate plans in Latvia involve the construction of four solar parks with a total capacity of 553 MW. All parks in Latvia are designed as hybrid parks, with future plans to integrate wind turbines, battery energy storage systems, or a combination of both. This will ensure stable energy supply and help the Baltic states transition to safer and more sustainable energy sources. Read more 👇

🎉 Sunly raised €300 million from Rivage Investment, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Kommunal Landspensjonskasse (KLP) to accelerate the construction of 1.3 GW of solar, wind, storage, and hybrid parks across the Baltics and Poland. Priit Lepasepp, co-founder and CEO of Sunly, said: “This investment enables us to improve our infrastructure with new grid connections and solar parks in the Baltics, which will support our onshore wind and storage pipeline expansion. To help reduce energy costs, our focus will be on two key areas: building a hybrid pipeline with storage capabilities and advancing the electrification of heating and mobility systems, thereby diminishing our reliance on imported fossil fuels and optimising the use of local renewable resources”. Our gratitude goes to Augusta & Co who acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Sunly during the process. White & Case LLP, Sorainen and CMS represented Sunly while Ashurst, Gide Warsaw and Ellex – Baltic circle of legal excellence acted as the lenders’ legal counsels. Read more 👇

🚴♂️☀ We're thrilled that so many new and familiar faces joined Sunly's bike ride to the Opinion Festival / Arvamusfestival this year, taking on the 110 km journey from Tallinn to Paide. Martin Kruus, Sunly's most experienced rider and chairman of the board, participated in the ride for the fifth time, though he's biked the Tallinn-Paide route many more times. The number of cyclists has been growing every year, but it still feels like a close-knit group where everyone gets the chance to meet each other. Along with Sunly's cycling enthusiasts and renewable energy fans, everyone who enjoys staying active and wants to challenge themselves while being environmentally friendly is always welcome to join. See you next year! 🤩 🎬 Check out the awesome recap video produced by Wedia Productions!

🤝 A goodwill cooperation agreement was signed between the City of Pärnu, Enefit Green, and Sunly, which will help contribute to the local community's well-being once the Põlendmaa wind farm is up and running. The agreement confirms that the parties will work closely together on building the Põlendmaa wind farm, focusing on improving local life and that possible obstacles will be resolved in a positive manner. Priit Lepasepp, co-founder and CEO of Sunly, emphasized that working closely with communities from the start is a key part of Sunly's approach. He said, "Building the wind farm in this area will benefit local people by lowering electricity costs and creating new roads that make everyday life easier. On a larger scale, the Põlendmaa wind farm is an important step toward Estonia producing all its electricity from renewable sources by 2030."
