RAED- Arab Network for Environment and Development Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)

نبذة عنا

RAED aims at developing, improving and coordinating the work of its members, by strengthening the bonds of cooperation between them, and contributing to the achievement of environmental and development and integration between the its members RAED is a financially independent Arab network of non-governmental organizations that draws together members from a diverse range of Arab states who share a commitment to ethical, responsible and sustainable development. Members enjoy a legal entity and complete eligibility to run its activities and achieve its goals. Many organizations concerned with the environment and sustainable development from different Arab Countries have joined RAED, including Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, UAE, Yemen and Saudi Arabia. In 1995, the League of Arab States recognized RAED and designated it with official observer status in the Council of Arab Ministers responsible for the Environment. Accordingly, it participates with the Technical General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers with a delegate to attend all the meetings held by RAED, as well as during meetings of the Board of Directors.
