Mme Jessica Davis Ba, Ambassadeur des États-Unis en Côte d’Ivoire, a visité ce mardi 06 août 2024 les travaux en cours du chantier de construction de l’échangeur du grand carrefour de KOUMASSI. Cette visite s’est tenue en présence des délégations conjointes de MCA-Côte d’Ivoire et du Millennium Challenge Corporation, conduites respectivement par Mme Viviane Ado Gossan-Coulibaly, Directeur Général de MCA-Côte d’Ivoire et M. Keith Hackett, Directeur Pays Adjoint du MCC. Effectuée en deux étapes, la visite a permis de présenter l’état d’avancement des travaux de cet ouvrage stratégique. La première étape a consisté en une présentation succincte du périmètre de réalisation des travaux par Mme Viviane Ado Gossan-Coulibaly. Elle a exposé les détails de l’évolution du chantier et sa mise en œuvre. La firme "ROAD", l’entreprise en charge des travaux à quant à elle présenté les défis techniques relevés et les solutions apportées pour respecter les délais et les normes de qualité exigées. La seconde étape a permis à S.E. Mme Jessica Davis Ba de constater de visu les progrès réalisés sur le terrain. Elle a été guidée à travers les différentes sections du chantier, où elle a pu observer les infrastructures en construction et les équipes à l’œuvre. Cette visite de terrain a été l'occasion pour l'Ambassadeur de discuter directement avec les ingénieurs et les travailleurs, recueillant ainsi des impressions de première main sur l’avancée du projet et les conditions de travail. Mme Davis Ba a exprimé sa satisfaction quant aux progrès accomplis et a souligné l’importance de cet échangeur pour l’amélioration de la mobilité urbaine et la réduction des embouteillages à Abidjan. Elle a également salué la collaboration entre le gouvernement ivoirien, le MCA-Côte d’Ivoire et le MCC, qui illustre parfaitement la coopération fructueuse entre les États-Unis et la Côte d’Ivoire.
