First (camo’d) look at ZEEKR’s first all-electric family SUV, codenamed ‘CX1e’

We have received some professionally shot “spy images” of ZEEKR’s next BEV model – an SUV targeting consumers with families. Aside from a unique camouflage wrap, you can see (some) unique stylings ZEEKR is bringing to the market with this new SUV, which is currently codenamed the “CX1e.”

ZEEKR remains a relatively young but successful EV-centric brand based in China. The Geely-owned nameplate has shown plenty of ambition throughout its three years of existence. Its all-electric lineup began with the 001 shooting brake, which has already seen a refresh this year.

Since then, ZEEKR has followed up with four additional models, including the 007 sedan, 009 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), the X SUV, and most recently, a family-friendly van in the works called the ZEEKR MIX.

Today, we’ve learned of plans for a sixth all-electric model and another ZEEKR SUV. We have been promised more details in the near future, but for now, we have our first peek at the incoming model, codenamed “CX1e.” Check it out.

ZEEKR’s new family-focused SUV looks sleek (so far)

The images above, posted by ZEEKR vice president Lin Jinwen on Weibo, are our first look at the automaker’s next model, which also sports some of the more stylish camouflage we’ve seen on a vehicle.

From the images, the mid-to-large-size SUV looks like a potential competitor to the Tesla Model X and could become the Chinese automaker’s second-largest offering to date, behind the 009 MPV.

A representative for ZEEKR told Electrek the company would release specs and the official name of the CX1e at a later date, but the camo wrap apparently offered a hint. Per Jinwen on Weibo:

The official naming of the CX1e is also on the picture camouflage liveries, guess what it is?

The wrap clearly shows a bunch of “x’s” on it, but it also appears to have a “z” hidden in between. Could we be looking at the ZEEKR ZX SUV for the first time? Perhaps the XZ?

We won’t know for sure until ZEEKR shows its cards, but we will keep you informed as we learn more.
