Software Updates
How can I check for a software update?
Software updates come out periodically and may contain performance enhancements for the device.
To manually check if you have the latest software:
- Go to Settings > System Updates
(If you do not see System Updates, Touch About Phone > System updates)
- The device will check if any updates are available.
If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
If the device does not automatically do so, select Check for System Updates

Motorola provides security updates that include patches released by Google and third parties that address security vulnerabilities and threats.
