Merger of Weathernav

edit

Per the outcome of this discussion, the Weathernav template is to be merged here. For reference, I have paste its contents below. We probably don't want to merge all the links, since many are redirects or are redundant or are less important. But some could be useful to merge. Thanks! I merged in several storm-related links. There was a whole section in Weathernav about Clouds, which I didn't add here. There is a separate navbox for {{Cloud types}}, so I'm not sure that needs to be in this template also. However, I did replace the Fog link with Cloud, since the latter is more general. --RL0919 (talk) 15:25, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Precipitation vs Rainfall

edit

This template refers to precipitation as if it was one and the same with rainfall, which it is not. Precipitation includes all forms of water-based matter falling toward the earth from the atmosphere, and so includes snow and hail. If the precipitation line is to stay, it needs to be a summary of all forms, including rain and snow, which would mean changing most of the weather boxes out there, which is highly undesirable. All I'm asking is a template change so that the word "precipitation" is replaced by the word "rain" or "rainfall". This would require 0 changes on the pages that use the template. --Tim Sabin (talk) 15:01, 12 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

The statement “Autumn is the season when the duration of daylight becomes noticeably shorter and the temperature cools considerably.” is incorrect. It should be changed to “While the duration of daylight becomes shorter during the summer and noticeably so toward the end of summer, autumn is the season when the duration of daylight becomes noticeably short and the temperature cools considerably.” This expresses accurately what the original author was trying to say. 2601:646:C780:240:69A7:174B:87A:D71C (talk) 20:54, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

I don't see that text in this template. I think it is at the article Autumn. Please post your suggested change there. RudolfRed (talk) 22:58, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
