== Saw VII ==

Just letting you guys know that I have begun the ''Saw VII'' article (on my namespace) [[User:MikeAllen/Saw7|here]]. Feel free to add/delete/change as new information comes. So far Patrick Melton in a podcast confirmed that filming will begin February (he also said a lot of things, like ''Saw VII'' most likely being the final installment, etc). So we have til then to make the page live. --[[User:MikeAllen|Mike Allen]] [[User talk:MikeAllen|talk]] '''·''' [[Special:Contributions/MikeAllen|contribs]] 06:31, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

== Large image. ==

Well, apparently someone wasn't supposed to use "px" for some reason, yet now, the picture looks too large. What are we supposed to do? --'''[[User:JpGrB|H]][[User talk:JpGrB|E]][[User:JpGrB/My Userboxes|L]][[User:JpGrB/Articles I Created|L]]'''Ø Ŧ'''[[User:JpGrB/Wikiproject Wishlist|H]][[User:JpGrB/Sandbox/Archive 1|E]][[User:JpGrB/Sandbox|R]][[User:JpGrB/Sandbox 2|E]]''' 23:17, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
:See {{diff|Saw (franchise)|339621322|339516073|the diff}} - just use a smaller figure, but it ''must'' be a bare integer, ''without'' any "px" after it. So, instead of {{para|imagesize|300}} you could put {{para|imagesize|250}}, {{para|imagesize|200}} etc. --[[User:Redrose64|Redrose64]] ([[User talk:Redrose64|talk]]) 23:27, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
::This is the code from {{tlx|Infobox Media franchise}}:

<nowiki>{{#if:{{{imagesize|}}}|{{!}}{{#ifexpr:280>={{#expr:{{{imagesize|}}}}}|{{{imagesize|}}}|280}}px}}</nowiki>

::If we pass a plain integer to the infobox template, such as {{para|imagesize|200}}, this substitutes in five stages as follows:

<nowiki>{{#if:200|{{!}}{{#ifexpr:280>={{#expr:200}}|200|280}}px}}</nowiki>

<nowiki>{{!}}{{#ifexpr:280>={{#expr:200}}|200|280}}px</nowiki>

<nowiki>{{!}}{{#ifexpr:280>=200|200|280}}px</nowiki>

<nowiki>{{!}}200px</nowiki>

<nowiki>|200px</nowiki>

::which is a valid value to be included in
<nowiki>[[Image: ]]</nowiki>
. If we pass a value with "px" on the end, such as {{para|imagesize|300px}}, this again substitutes in five stages but with a different outcome:

<nowiki>{{#if:300px|{{!}}{{#ifexpr:280>={{#expr:300px}}|300px|280}}px}}</nowiki>

<nowiki>{{!}}{{#ifexpr:280>={{#expr:300px}}|300px|280}}px</nowiki>

<nowiki>{{!}}{{#ifexpr:280>=Expression error: Unrecognised word "px"|300px|280}}px</nowiki>

<nowiki>{{!}}Expression error: Unexpected < operator[[Category:ParserFunction errors]]px</nowiki>

<nowiki>|Expression error: Unexpected < operator[[Category:ParserFunction errors]]px</nowiki>

::Note that this time:
::*an error message 'Expression error: Unrecognised word "px"' is produced, which is not actually displayed, but used as data for a numeric expression
::*that numeric expression fails as a direct result of the first error, yielding a second error message 'Expression error: Unexpected < operator'; this also is not displayed, because
<nowiki>[[Image: ]]</nowiki>
can't handle it
::*the page is placed in [[:Category:ParserFunction errors]], which is a hidden category.

"the final chapter"

Saw 3D is also called "The Final Chapter", and this wiki should reference it somewhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.193.253.103 (talk) 09:53, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reception rewrite?

Or not really a rewrite, but an addition. Most film articles, in fact almost all of them that have a reception section, have a good deal of text detailing the positive and negative criticism. The charts are fine, I think, but I think in the name of consistancy, we should have a paragraph actually saying what the remarks about the film (good and bad) were about. 64.234.0.101 (talk) 19:20, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree. Mike Allen 21:38, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Overview

The overview seems more like a series of non-connected statements about parts of plot involved in each film, written in no particular order. I came to the page to find an overview of the plot for all of the films as I have only seen the first one. If the overview section is the wrong place to put this then I suggest creating a plot overview section.

Thanks

Clean up

Had a quick look at the characters table on the main page and noted several errors with both content and structure. On my way out now, but I'll drop in later to see if it's been fixed. If not, I'll try and fix it up. - thewolfchild 02:58, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
