Issabelle’s 4-star review:
3 reasons why I'm a fan of Fable Diner (not to be confused with Fable Restaurant in Kits - although owned by the same people).
1. They serve an awesome all day breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. They've got a variety of options - sweet, savoury, you name it. While they call themselves a diner, I think their food is a bit more upscale than that, although still very decently priced. I recently had their west coast toast (basically avocado toast), and it was delicious! Their poutine, hash & eggs, and breakfast plate are all really great options as well. I've also had their chickpea veggie burger, which I was a really big fan of and would definitely order again. I've had a few bites of their fried chicken sandwich and grilled cheese as well, which both I'd order on my own. Needless to say, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu.
2. Their modern, upscale diner concept. Am I in a diner or a fancy restaurant? It's a bit of both. They've got that big diner-like bar right next to the kitchen, but also plenty of seating around the restaurant. Their decor is much more modern, bright, and "Insta-pic" worthy than most diners that I've been to. But hey, I'm not complaining - it's a beautiful restaurant.
3. Convenient location. Among the hustle and bustle of Busy Main St. this spot is easy to find just off of E Broadway and Main. You can easily get here by walking, car or transit.
Fable Diner, I'm a fan. See you again soon.
