Army soldier under probe over illegal filming charges at military unit
SEOUL, July 1 (Yonhap) -- A noncommissioned officer has been detained for a police investigation on charges of installing a camera in a women's restroom at an Army unit for new conscripts, the military said Monday.
The soldier is suspected of illegally filming some 10 women, including soldiers and civilians, according to the Army.
The case was referred to civilian police after the Army conducted an internal probe in response to complaints filed in February. The officer was detained in late May.
An official said the Army will sternly deal with the case in accordance with relevant laws and regulations after the police investigation concludes.
