Bioo Lumina 🌿 Transforming Earth to see the stars. A dream made to be alive, working with 3 different solutions: 1. NATURAL. Available. Bioluminescence occurs naturally in specific species of fungi, algae and insects. Bioo uses natural bioluminescent fungi in open or encapsulated systems to fuse them with urban outdoor and indoor environments, providing natural bioluminescence during nighttime. We work with over 58 different species found in most tropical and some mountain regions in the world without any modification or the addition of external compounds. 2. COMPOUND. Available. Bioo’s team uses a bio-compatible phosphorescent compound that stays and grows with the plant during its lifetime. This solution is applied to their dermis transforming native species into luminescent living beings without involving genetic modifications. This compound is non-toxic to humans and gentle on plants. It doesn't affect the natural respiration and photosynthesis of the plant nor the behavior of local species, just like natural bioluminescence in fungi, algae, or insects. This solution is available world-wide, Bioo will always implement it complying with all local regulations. 3. GENETIC. Under development. Genetic engineering of plants to naturally generate luciferin or luciferase protein in a 24/7 basis, becoming bioluminescent just like natural bioluminescence occurs with fungi, algae, and insects without affecting local fauna and flora. These modifications are made with non-dominant genes, so native plants will always prevail in every scenario. This solution depends on local policies to be properly applied in a specific region and Bioo will always duly work for a proper implementation following all regulations.
