This month we celebrate Women's Month in South Africa and recognize the significant contributions women make to our company. On August 9, the country commemorated the march of more than 20,000 women in 1956 in protest against the extension of the Pass Laws to women. The Pass Laws were an Apartheid system that controlled the movement of certain groups such as Blacks, Indians, and Coloured people. As a company committed to equal rights, we have recognized the talent and contribution of the women working in our plants to the transformation of the #energy industry with a gift. Thank you for helping us build a more equitable company!

At Gransolar we are proud to be experts whenever it is time to talk about photovoltaic energy. However, as we always say, we like challenges and this summer (winter in many of our PV plants and offices) we wanted to ask our experts a different exercise to get to know them a little better: recommendations for our breaks. These are their answers: 🗣 Natalia Bustamante Abad (Corporate & Solutions Legal Manager): 📗 HHhH (Laurent Binet): Behind the title of the book is the German phrase "Himmlers Hirn heisst Heydrich" (which means "Himmler's brain is called Heydrich"). That is what was said in the SS about Reinhard Heydrich, head of the Gestapo, considered the most dangerous man in the Third Reich. The novel narrates one of the most moving episodes of the Second World War that took place in 1942, when two members of the Resistance landed by parachute in Prague with the mission to assassinate Heydrich. Engaging from the first page and devourable! 📺 White Lotus (2 seasons on Max): The perfect summer break series. Funny, intriguing and set in idyllic surroundings. 🎬 Jojo Rabbit (Disney+): It is a comedy set in a dramatic historical moment (World War II), with a spectacular cast and an original approach, which deals with hate, love and humanity in a surprising way. It received 6 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress for Scarlett Johansson, and eventually won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. 💻 https://lnkd.in/dECCPgmy: There are more than 400 online yoga and meditation classes for different levels, taught by different teachers of almost every style (some of them are free, others need a subscription). The online format allows you to do the classes from anywhere and, in addition, you can customize your own yoga schedule or do single classes. They also have an online store with eco-friendly mats and other products and a blog with very interesting posts - the perfect way to get started in yoga or to practice this summer! ----------------------------------------------------------------- 🗣 Christian Moeckel Picchi (Tendering Manager) 📗 I always recommend Santiago Posteguillo, in particular his two trilogies, one about Scipio Africanus (1. Africanus, 2. The Damned Legions, 3. The Betrayal of Rome); the other about Trajan (1. The Emperor's Assassins, 2. Circus Maximus, 3. The Lost Legion). 📻 About divulgative podcasts, I like The Wild Project. But I also have a lot of fun listening to 'Nadie sabe nada' by Andreu Buenafuente and Berto Romero. 📺 I'm a huge fan of Peaky Blinders, but I also recommend some shows that may not be so mediatic, such as Fargo. It has 5 seasons, each one independent of the other, highly recommended. 🎬 As for movies, no one should miss the Argentinian 'El secreto de sus ojos'.

No matter how hard we try, we see no limits to photovoltaics 🌍 Our experts are constantly exploring possibilities for new projects all over the world, prioritizing those markets where we know we can contribute the most to the energy transition. 🏆 This is the era of champions, and photovoltaics are leading the way in renewable energy. According to the Renewable Energy Statistics 2024 report by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the installed solar PV capacity worldwide last year surpassed that of both wind and hydropower combined. And the growth shows no signs of slowing down. Wood Mackenzie predicts that solar capacity will increase by 3.8 TW by 2033, with solar PV accounting for 59% of the new global energy generation capacity added between 2024 and 2033. In this dynamic landscape, having the best partners is crucial. That’s where we come in. As experts in photovoltaics since 2005, we’re here to drive the future of energy.

🤫 Please keep quiet! We have a special security guard watching over our photovoltaic plant, and we don't want to disturb it. It may seem small and insignificant 🐜 , but when we work to boost green energy and phase out fossil fuels, we are also thinking about its survival and the well-being of all living things. The nature we know today is only possible if we understand that finding alternative ways to consume energy is essential.
