    Today, as we continue our journey of celebrating Itasa's 50th anniversary, we highlight three people whose dedication and experience are making an indelible mark on our company: Emmanuel Elgart, Leonard Martin and Josemari Pagola. Their stories reflect the commitment and passion that have driven Itasa over the years. Emmanuel Elgart joined Itasa six years ago, bringing with him a vast experience in business development. As Business Development Manager for the Personal Care segment, and with extensive experience and more than two decades in the industry, Emmanuel has played a crucial role in Itasa's global expansion. Emmanuel deeply appreciates the empowerment and trust Itasa gives him to develop his work and bring new business opportunities. He highlights the quality of his customers and the professionalism and closeness of the team that surrounds him as factors that he considers essential for success. Leonard Martin, Customer Service Representative for the UK, South Africa, Asia and the Middle East, joined Itasa six years ago too. Leonard studied Modern Languages, Translation and Interpreting at University which gives him a unique ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse cultures. Facing challenges such as Brexit, Leonard has demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt and manage complex changes. His assertive approach to communication, his dedication and his ability to learn from colleagues and clients has allowed him to excel in his role. He is motivated by the daily challenges he has at Itasa and values the relationships he has with both colleagues and clients. Josemari Pagola, with 32 years in Itasa, is a true institution in our company. As Business Development Manager, he has been a key figure in the development of international markets, from the Americas to Asia and Oceania. With a professional career that began at the Spanish Embassy in Washington, Josemari has brought his global experience to Itasa, developing relationships of trust and empathy with clients from diverse cultures. His philosophy of building trust and his ability to establish deep relationships has been crucial to Itasa's success in markets as varied as the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Josemari continues to enjoy every day of his work, emphasizing the importance of a strong team that supports his every endeavor. Join us in congratulating Emmanuel, Leonard and Josemari, whose exceptional contributions continue to drive success at Itasa. Either you invest in new machines or you maximize the efficiency of what you already have in order to evolve and grow. CI in action at Itasa: key examples. > Cost savings and productivity. 5S methodology, safety, energy efficiency and waste reduction. > Daily GEMBA meetings. Held in front of each coating line to promote immediate improvements and teamwork. > Cycle time improvement. Improvement and automation of processes to reduce cycle time & increase productivity. > Waste reduction and lead time. Continual goals of CI efforts.   CI is more than a set of tools; it is a culture that must be embraced by every team member. This collective effort requires significant training initiatives to embed this mindset throughout the organization. At Itasa Andoain, we are proud to share our progress and commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women in leadership. Our journey demonstrates the impact of promoting from within and being committed to creating an inclusive workplace. Women & leadership at Itasa. > 13 women in mid & senior-level leadership positions, most have reached these roles through internal promotion. > 40% of leadership team & 70% of positions of responsibility are held by women. > As part of our four-year growth plan, our goal is to increase the percentage of female direct labour employees up to 13%. Despite the industry being predominantly male, particularly in customer-facing and technical roles, we are very optimistic about the future. New generations are enrolling in technical studies in equal numbers. An increasing number of families are supporting women in their careers. Meanwhile, men are assuming greater responsibilities at home. There is still much to be done to break the social glass ceiling. However, we are witnessing a shift. Traditional male-dominated professions are becoming more accessible to women. We are committed to walking this path and breaking down barriers. At Mativ, our parent company, under the leadership of our CEO Julie Schertell, there is a shared vision to increase female representation.     On our 50th anniversary, we continue to celebrate individuals that are at the heart of Itasa. Today, we would like to introduce two outstanding members of the quality department, Xabier Seara and Dr. Iñigo Pérez. Both quality technicians, represent the dedication and excellence that drive our company forward. Xabier Seara joined Itasa 16 years ago, with extensive experience in the paper industry. Educated as a technical paper engineer, Xabier has had a diverse career path before joining Itasa. His career began in a mechanical pulp paper mill and continued in a core manufacturing company. He excels in his ability to ensure that each product meets our customers' specific quality standards. His work includes working closely with paper and silicone suppliers to ensure the highest quality. Xabier's adaptability and ability to manage high product customization are essential to the success of our production. In addition, his meticulous approach and ability to collaborate effectively with various departments underscores his dedication and commitment to excellence in every project. Iñigo Pérez joined Itasa a year ago, bringing with him a strong academic background and a passion for applied research. With a PhD in Applied Chemistry and a background in chemical engineering, Iñigo brings a fresh and analytical perspective to our team. Previously, he worked in the production of chlorine, soda and hydrogen compounds. At Itasa, Iñigo handles customer complaints, investigating root causes and applying corrective actions to avoid future problems. His work focuses not only on problem solving, but also on providing technical advice to customers, ensuring that they receive products that meet their expectations. The combination of his passion for research and his ability to collaborate closely with factory colleagues and customers allows him to maintain high quality standards on every project. We celebrate the commitment and dedication of Xabier and Iñigo, who, with their constant and meticulous work, continue to raise the quality standards and contribute to Itasa's continued success.     In today's edition of the Employee Spotlight Series, we highlight two exceptional colleagues who exemplify the dedication and commitment that have made Itasa a leader in its industry. We're talking about Sathish Kurumarn and Juanjo Agudo, whose contributions have been instrumental to our continued success. Sathish Kurumarn has been with Itasa for 7 years, having worked 5 years in Malaysia and 2 years in Spain. He started his career in Release Liners in 2014, and after Itasa's entry into the Asian market in 2016, he was invited to join our family. Sathish has taken on multiple roles, starting as a production leader, and later leading production and safety improvement, all the way up to maintenance coordinator thanks to his experience and skills. Two years ago, Sathish accepted the offer to move to Andoain, despite not speaking Spanish at that time. Since then, he has applied everything he learned in Malaysia to improve our plant in Andoain. Today, Sathish feels fully integrated in Spain, communicating in Spanish with his colleagues, although he still sometimes prefers to use English to ensure accuracy in technical matters. What motivates Sathish most is facing challenges, solving problems and seeing positive results. The trust the team places in him and his love for his profession give him the energy and daily satisfaction in his work. Juanjo Agudo has been with Itasa for 10 years as a rewinder machine technician. Before joining us, Juanjo worked for 20 years in the construction industry, where he had his own company. The global crisis of 2008 severely affected the building & construction sector in Spain, eventually leading to the closure of his company. Knowing Patxi Pagola from previous jobs, Juanjo decided to change career paths, and Patxi, recognizing his commitment and work ethic, offered him a position at Itasa. Although he had no experience in the paper industry, Juanjo quickly proved his value. He has been working hand in hand on the rewinder machine with the same colleague for 10 years, and emphasizes how easy it is to get along with colleagues at Itasa. For Juanjo, Itasa stands for commitment, friendship and well-being. He especially appreciates the technical knowledge and experience that his colleagues bring to the table, noting that these factors are key to the company's success. It is through stories like Sathish and Juanjo's that we celebrate not only our 50 years of existence, but also the spirit and dedication of those who make our success possible.
