“My Health, My right” is the slogan for World Health Day 2024, chosen to champion everyone's right to a good health service, education and information. 💡 In Orkla Health, we are contributing to education and information in several locations. In Norway since 2019, Möller's has collaborated with the Norwegian Brain Council to support their work with brain research, brain health campaigns and better treatment for those affected by brain disease. 💡 For selected Möller's products sold in pharmacies, Orkla Health donates NOK 1 pr package to the organization. Since 2019, this share has contributed to a total donation of NOK 1.8 million. - We are very happy about the wonderful support we have received from Orkla Health since 2019. Thanks to Orkla Health as a regular partner, we have been able to further develop the Brain Council to become an even clearer contributor to better brain health in Norway. We would not be where we are today without this support and look forward to further collaboration for brain health, says Henrik Peersen, secretary general of the Norwegian Brain Council. The Norwegian Brain Council is an umbrella organization that brings together more than 75 professional/research environments and user organizations in the work for better brain health. They have close collaboration partner with the Health authorities. - I am incredibly proud of the collaboration we have with the Norwegian Brain Council. Möllers wants to make a positive contribution to Norwegian public health, and I think we do that by supporting their important work. The collaboration with the Health Council is a particularly good fit for Möller's because many of our products contain the omega-3 fatty acid DHA, which contributes to normal brain function, says Anders Brunæs, Senior Brand Manager for Möller's Norway. 💡 Brain and brain disorders have not had the same focus as other major disease groups, but according to the Global burden of disease, it is estimated that brain disease accounts for 26% of all disease burden and 23% of all lost years of life in Norway. Brain disorders are both neurological and mental, and include migraine, dementia, stroke, epilepsy and anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. 💡 The brain is wonderful, fascinating, irreplaceable. Orkla on Corporate Knights list among the 100 most sustainable companies globally  As the previous years, Orkla is once again on Corporate Knights’ list of the 100 most sustainable companies globally.  Hege Holter Brekke, EVP & Investment Executive at Orkla ASA, shares her reflections about the commitment to shaping sustainable value creation as an investment company. Hege emphasizes that Orkla’s sustainability objectives are woven into the business strategies and plans, supported by robust procedures and tools to ensure the seamless integration. A targeted Centre of Excellence in sustainability provides ongoing support to Orkla’s companies, aligning the sustainability ambitions with investment goals. «I've witnessed firsthand the incredible efforts of our teams. For instance, Orkla Foods Europe is actively innovating within their TORO brand in the Norwegian market, crafting products that cut down food waste while nudging consumers towards meals with a decreased climate footprint» says Hege and continues:  «Similarly, Orkla Home and Personal Care is systematically driving positive change for consumers, customers, our company, and the environment. Their transition from plastic to cardboard in the laundry portfolio is a testament to change that pays dividends across multiple fronts». As a last selected example, Hege points at another of Orkla’s companies:  «Pierre Robert Group is another shining example, consistently moving towards more sustainable textiles across the collections. Their key contribution lies in reducing textile consumption by offering durable, high-quality products that stand the test of time». As an investment company with a clear sustainability commitment, we try to raise the bar for our sustainability efforts year after year.
