Leitat is a private technical institute with more than 110 years of experience in industrial innovation processes. 🌞 Summer holidays are already here! 🌞 We want to inform you that Leitat will have a more than deserved summer break the week of August 12th until the 16th and, during these days, our centers in Barcelona, Terrassa and Vilanova del Camí will remain closed. 🚀 Proyecto 3DTHINKS: IA para una comunicación más inclusiva ¿Cómo se comunican quienes tienen dificultades de lectura o escritura? En el proyecto 3DTHINKS, Leitat Technological Center y 3dthinks están desarrollando una app 📱 donde la iconografía y lenguaje representado🖼️ sustituyen a las palabras, facilitando la conversación a través de imágenes. Gracias a la experiencia en IA de Leitat, estamos mejorando un software capaz de generar pictogramas específicos y complejos al instante, como "una tabla de surf en la playa" 🏄♂️ o "tener sed" 🥤. Así, los usuarios podrán expresar mejor sus pensamientos y emociones. Our latest research paper 📋 has just been published in the Journal of Water Process Engineering (Elsevier) (Q1). 🔼 This study delves into the innovative bioelectrochemically-improved anaerobic digestion (AD-BES) of fishery industrial wastewater, demonstrating that AD-BES is a promising technology for treating fishery processing wastewater, enabling the recovery of bioenergy in the form of methane. Last week, our team members Ainhoa Gaudes and Guillermo Ortiz Secoíz showcased the innovative Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) 🌱 and Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) that will be implemented under the Universwater project💧. Breaking News for the development of next generation advanced biofuels technologies! 🚀 We're thrilled to announce the kick-off of the Fuels-C project at Leitat's facilities. This innovative project will transform biogenic organic waste and carbon dioxide into liquid and gaseous biofuels for direct use in fuel cells. 🌱⛽️ By combining cutting-edge conversion technologies in an integrated platform, Fuels-C will produce four different biofuels (methane, ethanol, formic acid and ammonia) tailored to maritime and road transportation modes.
