When looking for the MCV system that best fits the needs of a residential project, many factors come into play. Factors such as the budget, the desired #EnergyEfficiency or the climate of the area where the home is located, determine the correct choice of one system or another. If not taken into account, #ventilation systems installed may: 🌡️ Not provide adequate thermal comfort: Malfunction of the system can cause the rooms to not maintain a stable and comfortable temperature, making the spaces uncomfortable in both winter and summer. 💡 Increase energy consumption and associated costs: An inefficient MCV system can consume more energy than necessary, increasing the amount of bills and the environmental impact. 💧 Generate humidity problems: Insufficient ventilation can result in the accumulation of moisture inside the home, leading to the appearance of mold and mildew. This not only damages the structure and materials of the house, but can also generate unpleasant odors and affect the respiratory health of the inhabitants. 🏠 Affect #IndoorAirQuality: Lack of adequate ventilation can lead to the build-up of pollutants such as dust, pollen, chemicals and other allergens, which can aggravate health problems such as asthma, allergies and other respiratory conditions. 🔇 Produce annoying noises: Poorly designed or installed systems can generate noise that interferes with the user's peace of mind, affecting rest and quality of life. Our technical advisory service helps you choose the perfect MCV system for your project, ensuring that all needs, requirements and expectations are met.

Ventilation ducts, used in industrial-type systems and buildings, are intended to move indoor air from and to the fan by taking the stale air outside or bringing in new air from outdoors. In its calculation and design, care must be taken to ensure adequate flow contribution, as well as other criteria such as minimizing energy consumption in the fans or minimizing noise that could cause inconvenience to users. Airtightness is a key factor to consider in order to avoid pressure drops. It is also advisable to bear in mind that ducts made out of rough or porous materials have a higher chance of losing air. For this reason, smooth ducts are the best option. The most common calculation methods for calculating ventilation ducts are: 👉 Constant head loss method 👉 Static recovery method In this carousel, we tell you how to calculate the ducts using these two methods.

😷 Radon gas tends to accumulate in buildings, especially in closed areas such as basements and spaces without adequate ventilation, seriously harming people's health. Therefore, it is a crucial aspect to take into account in your projects. Prolonged exposure to high levels of radon can significantly increase the risk of developing lung cancer. However, symptoms of radon exposure are difficult to identify until the disease is advanced, making prevention and mitigation essential. It is important to focus on this gas, since it is considered the second main cause of lung cancer after tobacco. In this context, the importance of #ventilation systems is clear. ✅ An adequate ventilation system can significantly reduce the concentration of radon inside the home. #MCV helps renew indoor air, expelling contaminated air and replacing it with filtered air from outside. Consult the infographic for the information you should take into account for your radon gas projects.

Our colleagues from S&P Ventilazione Italia gave an important seminar entitled "#IndoorAirQuality and #MechanicalControlledVentilation: two closely related issues". 🌬️ In the talk, professionals from the Italian subsidiary explored in depth the crucial importance of indoor air quality and how #MCV is becoming a fundamental component in modern #construction. In addition, building regulations are increasingly consistent with the importance of #ventilation. So they were talking about how to comply with the measures set out in the UNI EN 16798 and UNI 10339 regulations. The training ended with real examples of how to integrate these systems, from design to construction for optimal installation. A very important aspect for both #architects and ventilation engineers. Thank you to all participants for your active participation and contribution!

🏢 We spend around 90% of our time indoors, so it is essential to pay attention to #IndoorAirQuality. Keeping indoor #air clean and renewed is essential to achieve comfort and well-being in the spaces we inhabit and transit. However, the air contains contaminants from different sources, which directly affect people's health. 😷 The WHO warns that 3.8 million people die prematurely each year from diseases attributable to indoor air pollution. #Ventilation systems play a leading role in reducing these conditions, since they allow #humidity levels to be controlled to prevent the appearance of mold, avoid excessive concentrations of pollutants. The filtration of particles from the outside is also one of its main benefits.

How to ensure permanent air renewal in commercial facilities to meet regulatory requirements? The EN 13779 regulation or the Construction Products Regulation (#CPR) 305/2011 establishes design and control criteria for #ventilation and #IndoorAirQuality in non-residential buildings, including #Offices and #CommercialPremises. These regulations define ventilation rates, heat recovery units efficiency, outdoor and indoor air quality, and thermal and acoustic comfort criteria. To comply with established regulations, it is essential to have #MCV systems with heat recovery units designed for non-residential projects. Our experts are available to ensure that the implemented solution meets current regulations and adapts to the specific needs of each project.

Mechanical Controlled Ventilation is a system designed to ensure adequate #ventilation in buildings, maintaining #IndoorAirQuality and improving #EnergyEfficiency. But what is the difference between a single-flow system and a double-flow system? 👇 The main differences between these systems lie in: 🔄 Heat recovery: The double-flow MCV includes a heat exchanger that allows the thermal energy of the extracted air to be recovered to preheat or precool the incoming air, improving the energy efficiency of the building. The simple-flow MCV, however, does not have this capability. ⚙️ Separate ducts: In the double-flow MCV, clean air and stale air are managed through independent ducts, allowing greater control and efficiency in ventilation. Thanks to this separation, the fresh air is prevented from being contaminated by the stale air being extracted, thus ensuring optimal indoor air quality. On the other hand, the simple-flow system uses a single duct to renew the air. 🔍 Air control: The double-flow MCV allows more precise control of air quality, temperature and #humidity, thanks to the possibility of filtering both air flows and adjusting parameters based on advanced sensors. The air control in a simple-flow MCV system is less complicated. This kind of system focuses mostly on the foul air extraction, without the capacity of filtering or regulating the incoming air actively. In this video, you can see the differences in their operation.
